Based in the Twin Cities, Red Lime was born in 2001 when Serena Pelowski decided to offer clients communications solutions based on the idea that design and business objectives go hand in hand. Whether it’s branding, consumer packaging or B2B communications, we’re always asking how design helps drive the bottom line, and we’re proud to have been instrumental in helping many start-ups establish a brand identity and launch thriving businesses.
Serena Nelson Pelowski
Founder and Designer
Serena strikes the right balance between free thinker and straight shooter, adept at managing projects of any size or scope, telling it like it is and presenting designs that shine. She keeps margins in check, welcomes challenges and hasn’t stopped designing since that prescient ice cream container she created back in fourth grade. Serena’s in it for the long haul, evidenced by the many clients and vendors she’s worked alongside for decades. Motivated by the fact that Red Lime designs bring success – and jobs – to companies big and small, Serena also finds inspiration from her family, her dreams, and having a career that doesn’t feel like work.
Ben Kalow
Designer and Illustrator
Adept at drawing, painting, sculpting and prop building, Ben is a design MacGyver who never forgets that "create" is at the heart of the creative process. Happiest with a pencil in hand and a challenge ahead, Ben has added his twist to thousands of products in nearly every retail category over the course of two decades of product design and development.
Libby Kaplan
Studio Coordinator
Libby is a solution-oriented problem solver and a master of numbers. She transforms Red Lime’s day-to-day functions so the designers can do what they do best – design. Libby keeps the books, keeps us organized and gets us paid on time. When she’s not keeping us in line, she’s at home keeping her toddlers in line.
Anne West
Freelance Writer
Anne is a seasoned writer, editor and proofreader with a knack for crafting copy that grows memorable brands. With a journalism degree and a master’s in education, her experience spans formats and industries, from magazine articles to snappy marketing materials, consumer packaged goods to web, social, press releases and presentations. Anne and Serena’s partnership was born out of popcorn – where their marriage of words and graphics helped Angie’s Boomchickapop succeed – and they’ve been collaborating ever since.
